Casco Bay Artisans Launches PAINTchitecture™ with Gallery Artist Russ Cox

Casco Bay Artisans (CBA) in collaboration with gallery artist Russ Cox is excited to launch its newest innovation: PAINTchitecture™: A merging of fine art with architectural design to meet the changing needs of art lovers and collectors while providing elegant solutions to open-concept living and creating space for the collector whose walls are filled with art.

PAINTchitecture™’s trademarked construction creates a double sided canvas for the artist to paint on and the viewer to enjoy. The canvas is then suspended from the ceiling to delineate rooms in open concept living, serve as a focal point, and create more space for art. The range of possibilities within a room provides simultaneous beauty while creating the sense of two unique rooms. Most commercially available open-concept room dividers are utilitarian. PAINTchitecture™ offers an experience, creating depth of field with color and movement for both residential and commercial applications.

Russ Cox’s oil paintings evoke the sensory feeling associated with place, nature and experience. His works evolve from a process of applying layer upon layer with multiple glazes to create movement, translucency and depth. These works are deeply meditative, and from one side to the other, new complexities are revealed in real time.

The edge of the double sided painting may be wrapped in canvas or framed in wood. The hanging apparatus is a high-tensile strength, translucent, filament for minimal visual obstruction, easily tailored to fit the needs of any given space. With PAINTchitecture™, the marriage of function and art is ideal for designers, collectors, and art-lovers of all kind.
