ARTIST STATEMENT
Paul Brahms (b. 1963) is a contemporary landscape and seascape artist based in Portland, Maine, United States. Known for his vibrant and expressive paintings, Brahms captures the beauty and essence of the natural world in his unique and captivating art.
Brahms’ artistic journey began at a young age, where he was always drawn to the beauty of the outdoors, the changing landscapes of his home state, Maine. His passion for art led him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design, here he honed his skills and developed his own style.
Brahms’ collections showcase the rugged coastlines and abundant beaches of Maine. Through his use of color and texture, Brahms evokes the ever-changing moods of the ocean and the land, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the beauty and tranquility of the Maine landscape.
